here’s a small sample of the open-source projects i’ve worked on over the past few years:
Open-source hardware project. Attempt to make a complete analog synthesizer essentially from scratch in my spare time.
Bongo is an open source or free software mail and calendar project. we’re not attempting to create an “enterprise” solution designed for large businesses, but rather trying to meet the needs of small groups of people and individuals.
Banshee is a free and open source media player that is built upon Mono and Gtk#. it is sponsored by Novell. i primarily did work on porting the Audioscrobbler, DAAP and multimedia key plugins to the new version of Banshee. i also implemented a full 10-band equalizer.
r5u87x is a set of userspace tools to help manage webcams used in many varieties of laptops, a number of which are Sony VAIOs, but also includes HP and Fujitsu models. tools provided enable the use of uploading microcode, which is required before the camera will function as designed.
cx is the blogging/basic cms package this site runs on.
monome is a minimalistic hardware interface. it consists of a grid of back-lit buttons, and communicates with a computer. buttons can be configured as toggles, radio groupings, sliders, or organized into more sophisticated systems to monitor and trigger sample playback positions, stream 1-bit video, interact with dynamic physical models, and play games. it is primarily used as a musical instrument interface.
i’ve also submitted patches and documentation to things like MythTV, Nutch, among others.
